From 20th to the 22nd of May, Jean-Michel DESCAMPS, the Mayor of Sauternes, will travel to Wuhan. Jean Compeyrot, manager of L & C Vins will also be part of the trip. The main objective of this trip to China is to attend, for the first time, the equestrian race “Sauternes”.
The Wuhan hippodrome is expected to welcome more than 150 distinguished guests, including the Consulate General of France in Wuhan, the International Relations Offices in Hubei and Wuhan, as well as French companies and students based in Wuhan. The Town Hall of Caidian District and the District of Dongxihu are also awaited as well as the Wuhan School of Commerce and the Hubei and Wuhan Sports Offices.
Without forgetting the media and sponsors to promote this event.
A VIP lunch is organized and will begin with a speech by the President of the hippodrome, followed by a speech by Mr Philippe Martinet, Consul General of France in Wuhan.
It will then be the turn for our compatriots to speak, Mr Jean-Michel Descamps, Mayor of Sauternes and Jean Compeyrot, manager of L & C Wines. He will continue with a presentation and enhancement of Sauternes, alongside the representative of Clovitis.
The afternoon will start with a series of interviews and shows. An opening ceremony will launch the seven equestrian races.
And to end this trip, Mr Descamps and Mr Compeyrot will be able to attend a group dinner conducive to the exchange of ideas.
Several stands will also be offered between 12:40 and 17:00 in order to taste French wine.
In summary, a nice opportunity for the Chinese to discover or rediscover our French know-how.
