Focus on results of Sakura Competition
The Sakura Competition is a high-level international wine competition where judges are professional women from the wine industry in Japan (Sommeliers, Trainers and Teachers, Salesmen, Exporters, Journalists and Viticulturists).
The 2017 edition was the third since its creation in 2014. Last year, 3,543 samples from 35 countries were tasted (including 985 samples from French vineyards and 303 from Bordeaux)
The number of entries has increased over the past 4 years, this shows a real interest and recognition for this contest and this new standard of tasting.
For the second consecutive year, the Château Biac is awarded a Double Gold thanks to a perfect 100 points score for Secret de Château de Biac, Appellation Cadillac, vintage 2012.
(Last year Secret du Château de Biac, Cadillac 2010)
Secret de Château de Biac was also rewarded the ultimate consecration. Yumi Tanabe, President of the Sakura Competition, awards Mr Rolland, of the French Embassy in Japan, with the Diamond Award.
This competition is a guarantee of quality to enter the Japanese market or to strengthen these markets.
